DARKNESS REVEALED:
A NIGHT AND LOW-LIGHT PHOTOGRAPHY WORKSHOP

joanbobkoffphotography

In this DARKNESS REVEALED workshop, you will experience the thrill and magic of photographing at night. Learn some basic exposure techniques guaranteed to help you create exciting images at night and in low-light situations.

Session One:
At Photolab We will look at some well-known night photos for inspiration and ideas for night and low light photography. Then we will discuss unique characteristics of low-light photographic images. I'll demonstrate some techniques you will use for our local field trip the following week at the UC Berkeley Campus

Session Two:
We will meet at 7 pm on the UC BERKELEY CAMPUS and do an actual night shoot there. (Sunset is at 7:53pm)

Session Three:
Back at Photolab. We will meet back at Photolab in Berkeley to review the photo images you made on the UC Campus. We'll also learn a few additional techniques (using flashlights and flash attachments off the camera) to enhance your low-light photos and expand your technical toolkit.

Best for: photographers with a comfortable working knowledge of their digital or film camera and intermediate photography skills. Mobile phone cameras not recommended
