How to Apply
The Photolab
Gallery shows work by eight to ten photographers
per year. We are interested in showcasing work by
artists working in every medium of photography. We
look at new portfolios continuously. If you would
like to be considered for exhibit, contact us to
submit your portfolio using the guidelines below.
First Steps
Most photographers
contact us by email to set up an portfolio review. Portfolios
can also be submitted by mail in the form of cds or dvds, slides.
Before applying, please read this page and the
main gallery page. We suggest you visit the Gallery in person to
get a feel for our space and style and take a look the current work
on exhibit,

Portfolios are usually reviewed on Saturday mornings by appointment

What we're
Looking For
The Photolab Gallery
exhibits photography in all its forms. Take a
look at the exhibit archive for an
idea of what we have shown in the past.
We love to exhibit photographers who have a solid body of work for a
exhibit as a solo show on all three walls that comprise our gallery
space. If you have a concept for a group show we'd love to see that
too.
Once a year we produce an a group show based around a single
theme.
Gallery Services
The Gallery provides exhibiting artists with a professional display environment,
design,
production and distribution of the exhibit announcement cards, a
wine and cheese reception for the artist and publicity including a web page featuring an interview with the exhibiting artist and
a few images from the exhibit itself. We prepare and distribute a press release and mailing to our list. The photographer hangs his/her own show, and deals directly with potential buyers.
Fees and Commissions
We do not take a commission of any kind.
We
refer all buyers directly to the artist.
Shows run 6 weeks per artist.
