What is FTp?
An FTP Client is software that is designed to transfer files back-and-forth between two computers over the Internet. In this case, from yours to ours.
FTP client software needs to be installed on your computer and can only be used with a live connection to the Internet.

Whether you know it or not, you most likely use FTP all the time
for downloading MP3s, for example. FTP is the simplest and most secure way to exchange files over the Internet.

FIRST YOU NEED FTP SOFTWARE ON YOUR COMPUTER
1. Download one of these free ftp programs if you don’t already have one.

	Ace FTP		Cyber Duck	FireFTP

NEXT YOU NEED THE PASSWORD FROM US
2. Contact us by phone to set up your order and receive your password: (866) 644-1400 or locally: (510) 644-1400

You will need to have credit card payment information ready when you call.

Prepare your files:
3. Place your files in a folder with your last name as the folder name.
(I put my folder on my desktop for easy finding.)

Now ready to upload -- ftp settings:
1. In the address space type in: ftp.photolaboratory.com

2. In the username space type in up2@photolaboratory.com (yes, the user name is an email address)

3. Enter your password now. (Call us (510) 644-1400 if you don’t have a password)

After the upload is complete
Email or phone us to let us know you have uploaded the files, so that we can complete your order. photolabdigital@earthlink.net or (510) 644-1400

You can download our credit card authorization form http://www.photolaboratory.com/PDFs/CCA2006.pdf

Fax the completed for to us at (510) 644-0211 or call us with the information
(510) 644-1400. Please do not send your credit card information in an email.

Having trouble with ftp?
1. Address is also called Host or Server
2. Username is sometimes called ID
3. Sometimes you need to enter the full address: ftp://ftp.photolaboratory.com
4. Error messages? check spelling, no caps, try disabling your firewall

4. Navigate to the folder with your name or company name on it and begin download.
